Expect roughly eight to twelve months from signed plans to move-in, and expect to be involved. The first weeks are design and selections, where you settle the floor plan, elevation, kitchen layout and finishes. Then comes permitting and site work: well, septic, stormwater and driveway, which is where a rural lot differs most from a subdivision. Framing goes up quickly and is the stage most people enjoy watching. Mechanicals, drywall, trim and cabinetry take the longest and are the least visible. You walk the home with us before drywall and again before settlement.
Along the way you have one point of contact, a fixed price you signed for, and a schedule we update as we go. After you move in we handle first-year workmanship items, and your ten-year structural warranty runs from settlement.
Most homes take roughly 8 to 12 months from signed plans to move-in, depending on size, site conditions, and permitting. We give you a realistic schedule up front and keep you updated throughout.
